I’ve been playing Beat Saber for a long time, but getting into mods was honestly a whole journey for me. It took me about 3–6 months of trial and error, watching tutorials, messing things up, reinstalling, and trying again before I finally understood how everything worked. At first, it felt confusing and overwhelming, especially dealing with files, mod loaders, and game versions. There were moments where I almost gave up, but I kept pushing through because I really loved the game.
Now, I can confidently say I’m an advanced modder. Once everything finally clicked, it completely changed my experience. Mods opened up so many possibilities — custom songs, insane visual effects, advanced mapping tools, and so much more. Learning how everything connects behind the scenes made me appreciate the game even more.
My absolute favorite things are Noodle Extensions and Chroma levels. Noodle Extensions makes maps feel alive with crazy movement, custom note paths, and unique mechanics that go way beyond the base game. Chroma adds insane lighting and color effects that turn levels into full-on light shows. When both are combined, it doesn’t even feel like the same game anymore — it feels like a VR concert experience.
Overall, modding Beat Saber was 100% worth the struggle. It took patience, but now I get to enjoy some of the most creative and mind-blowing custom levels out there. If you’re thinking about getting into mods, don’t give up — once you figure it out, it changes everything.
