I know why you are reading this review. The questions you are asking are probably along the lines of - should I buy or pass on this game, should I buy the first installment, is there a need to play the first game, etc. As someone who played both back to back, I can say without a doubt that you can skip the first version. The first game is short, with dubious puzzles that required some googling, lending itself for me to deem it as more of a demo to the second part. Red Matter 2 is the complete, polished game. Problem solving is more straightforward, graphics are even better than the first, and the campaign is much, much longer than the first. I found Red Matter 2 to be more engaging than the first one.
