Updated Review with Original Review Below I think what I said stands in some way but since writing this review I played tiger blade on a Quest 3 instead of a 2 and I thought that was worth mentioning because it was a night and day experience. There was a noticeable difference in performance and overall feeling of tightness. I breezed through some areas that were incredibly frustrating on my Quest 2. I would highly encourage the dev to spend some time play testing on the Quest 2 if they haven't. The change in quality was dramatic for me which is not something I'd expect for what amounts to a rail shooter/rythym game. On the Quest 3 I would give this game 4 starts instead of 2. I think on the Quest 2 my 2 star reviews stands though. ------------------------------------ It's an interesting concept but the execution feels off. The sword play is good but the pistol and the deflection mechanics are kind of meh. It feels more like it should be in an old school arcade that's asking you for quarters than a game you buy outright. There is a lot of potential here but I don't feel the game was fleshed out enough and especially after playing the first boss it feels like there is a lack of depth to some of the combat encounters. You're either fast, lucky, or more likely fast and lucky or dead. There are definitely games that lean into that but this one feels like it's just beating on you till you happen to get lucky enough with the deflect ability. Maybe I am missing something though. It's an amazing concept though and I love the potential. I am not sure if I am going to keep it or not yet. I might refund and try it again in a year to see how the game has progressed/changed. It really is such a good concept and the gameplay loop is amazing in some ways. It just also feels really rough and overall a very short experience(absent the time you spend repeating things because you died.)
