Gun Club VR delivers one of the most enjoyable and immersive firearm simulations available in virtual reality. With an impressive variety of realistic weapons, satisfying gunplay, and a solid progression system, it’s a dream come true for VR shooting enthusiasts.
Positives:
-Weapon Variety & Realism: The game features a wide array of meticulously detailed firearms, from pistols and SMGs to assault rifles and shotguns. Handling and reloading each weapon feels great, and the attention to detail in the models and sound design really enhances immersion.
-Fun and Replayable Gameplay: Whether you’re into target shooting, zombie waves, or tactical challenges, Gun Club VR offers modes for every playstyle. It’s easy to jump into and addictive enough to keep you coming back.
-Great DLCs at a Fair Price: The extra content, including the SWAT, Wild WestDLCs, adds fresh missions and weapons, extending the game’s replayability without breaking the bank.
Areas for Improvement:
-SWAT DLC Map Design Issues: While the SWAT DLC adds a welcome tactical element, some missions place enemies or objectives in awkward locations, especially behind decorative objects. These design choices make it physically difficult to maneuver long rifles, disrupting the otherwise smooth experience.
-Glitch Report – Free Attachments Exploit: There is currently a glitch that allows players to obtain any weapon attachment for free:
1. Aim at the “Cancel Purchase” button.
2. Simultaneously press the trigger and move the analog stick (same hand) to the left.
3. The attachment is unlocked without payment.
While this can be tempting, it undermines the in-game progression system. It would be great to see this addressed in a future patch to maintain game balance.
Conclusion:
Gun Club VR stands out as a must-have for fans of shooting simulators in VR. It’s fun, engaging, and packed with content at a good value. While a few design hiccups and an exploit hold it back from perfection, the overall experience is still excellent. With some fixes and polish, it could easily earn a full five stars.
