Changing this from 1 star to 5 as initially I was unable to play coop. Then I noticed that "friend list" still stays empty(even after a friend enters room code) but this seems normal. Just close the empty list and then you will see "select" to choose your car. Also your friend is visible on the bottom left and not on the friends list as I expected.
