Nearly as good as WW1 from HNG
I'm a solid fan of the WW1 figher game in VR, on Quest2 and here. It changed hugely with updates, and HNG are good with bugfixes and new features.
This one is.. nearly there.
Voice prompts repeat over and over, as other reviewers have warned, or queue up at the end of a game.
[On Quest2 local, The planes feel lumbering and seem to have different physics from the WW1 ones -more keen to self-right, less happy to fly upside down, less likely to stall-turn. And it's great to have flaps, but would they really slow a vertical dive? It's better on the PC, where the planes are a bit more nimble. The sheer difference in agility between enemy and player planes can be frustrating.]
If you switch planes into one that's about to die by touching its image, none of the VR controls work and you can't switch back; you have to drop the game or continue with joysticks. If you reset the game before it finishes, enemy bombers start a thousand feet higher, and if you keep doing it they end up bombing you form orbit ;)
I reckon this will be great after the next update.
