Flight 74
A very high quality flight simulator.
That being said, the learning curve is steep. It helps to know where the landing gear, flaps and throttle are without looking. Flying the missions was as difficult as removing a walrus tooth using only a toothpick and a Q-tip.
I pre-purchased Flight Unlimited. The trailer was spectacular, spackling, profound, visceral and absolutely mind blowing. I'm guessing that similar to all aviation VR apps, planes must be earned playing absolutely fun missions at best or gruelling tedious missions at worst.
I always and often play Dawn of Jets and Warplanes World War One and World War Two which are life-changing experiences. Simple Planes is very good because of the chance to fly using a yoke rather than a sidestick. Ultra wings 2. Very fun.
To play aviation VR games best, for a sidestick experience, place a flashlight or toy kaleidoscope tube through the strap of the right hand controller. Then place the flashlight with the strap of the handgrip flopped around it under your legs and hold it there. Otherwise it is a less than structurally realistic experience for the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk with the shark teeth. It is a majorly airplane of World War Two because of the shark teeth design.
For a yoke, loop the straps of both handgrips around whatever and place that under the legs and held firmly. And then get a single chopstick holding each end of the chopstick between the middle finger and the ring finger while holding the handgrips. This brings about a more structurally realistic and integral experience for the Boeing 747 and for the Lockheed Hercules C - 130.
The Hercules C - 130 is quite something. It can hold four Sherman tanks in its hold. It is like the Percheron workhorse of airplane. It's next level. I look forward to flying it and simply can not wait until release day.
Completed Mission 3 on Flight 74 which opens up Free Play.
Free Play is absolutely wonderful and surpasses all expectations.
