If you’re trying to keep a rival away from your lover, it can’t hurt to have a Beat Saber in each hand. Just make sure to drop into the beat and keep up, slicing those blocks to the tune of Katseye’s “Gabriela” in Beat Saber’s newest Shock Drop, available right now.

Katseye is the girl group that’s been strutting across the world stage ever since they came together in the Netflix reality show “Dream Academy” 2023. Hailing from Atlanta, The Philippines, Hawaii, Korea and Switzerland, they’ve got an international, K-Pop-infused vibe set off by throwback fashion that’s earned them over 25 million monthly streamers on Spotify and 15 million followers on TikTok and Instagram.

“Gabriela” is the second single from Katseye’s second EP, ”Beautiful Chaos”. It’s a classic R&B pop song with a Latin flair and a catchy chorus, sure to keep you swinging your sabers between the deep bass and high guitar line. It's about keeping a tempting beauty away from a lover, a kind of a Gen-Z version of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”. Katseye isn’t Dolly, however, and the tone here is a little less pleading and a little more violent. It also comes with an over-the-top, Telenovela-inspired music video that shows off the group’s wild theatricality.

This is Katseye’s first appearance in Beat Saber, joining a quickly growing roster of Gen-Z icons like Sabrina Carpenter with “Espresso” and Billie Eilish with “BIRDS OF A FEATHER”. Shock Drops are quick, single-song releases of popular songs that drop outside of the regular music packs. Other Shock Drops include Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra”, Eminem’s “Houdini” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”. “Gabriela” is playable in multiplayer, features Arc and Chain Notes, and is available for $1.99 right now.
