Change the Game: ‘Among Us VR’ Adds Custom Lobby Settings and Accidental Hats Today
With countless matches played in the last few months, it’s high time we start changing the game in Among Us VR.
Today Schell Games, Innersloth, and Robot Teddy are putting out the (free) Custom Lobby Settings update for Among Us VR. Tweak the rules however you see fit. Want a six-person game with two impostors? Or maybe only one Impostor, but the Kill Cooldown timer is reduced to only 10 seconds? Or a game where nobody can report bodies? Do it! Experiment! Have fun! Create chaos!
Those who played the original beloved version of Among Us will recognize many of the Custom Lobby options, but there are some fun new exclusive-to-VR treats as well. For instance, you can enable “Hands Visible” so that faking a task requires Impostors to not only stand near the proper station, but mime doing the task as well. It’s straight devious.
Here’s the full modifier list:
- Number of Impostors
- Kill Cooldown
- Hands Visible
- Chat Enabled
- Crew Vision
- Impostor Vision
- Number of Emergency Meetings
- Number of Long Tasks
- Number of Short Tasks
- Visual Tasks
- Taskbar Updates
- Report Bodies
- Discussion Time
- Voting Time
- Anonymous Voting
- Ejections Show Role
- Door Sabotage
- Sabotage Cooldown
This free update also includes a new “Pizza Time” hat, so be sure to grab a slice in-game before your friends do. And if you want even more options, the team is also adding “Hat Pack: Accidental Favorites” DLC to Among Us VR today, featuring some go-to toppers from the original game, including the “MoRawk,” “Peeled,” and “Magical ‘Corn.”
You can pick up “Accidental Favorites” for $4.99 USD—and if you haven’t yet picked up Among Us VR, it’s available to players 13-and-up on Meta Quest 2 + Pro for $9.99 USD.
