Slashing Singles: Eminem’s “Houdini” Drops on ‘Beat Saber’

Eminem’s “Houdini” has been blowing up the charts this summer. And now, you can step through your own portal from 2002 and slash to the head-bobbing beat in Beat Saber.

This is the game’s first Shock Drop—a surprise release of a new-ish hit single to keep things fresh. With over 138 million views of the official music video on YouTube and over 340 million listens on Spotify, “Houdini” may not be demure or mindful—and it’s definitely not cutesy—but it was a natural choice for Beat Saber to wrap up

The track launches with the environment you know and love from the Hip Hop Mixtape (fun fact: Eminem’s “Godzilla feat. Juice WRLD)” is that music pack’s most played and purchased song). And like the Hip Hop Mixtape, “Houdini” is uncensored, so it won’t show up for people with parent-managed Meta accounts—everyone else can enjoy it in all its original glory.

Long-time players might find Shock Drops reminiscent of earlier singles in the Extras section of the game, which included fan favorites like “POP/STARS” and “Crab Rave.” Keep an eye out for more Shock Drops in the future.
