Take the Fight to the Seas in the ‘Blade & Sorcery: Nomad’ Sentara Update, Out Now
Today marks the release of the free Sentara Update for Blade & Sorcery: Nomad, bringing a new faction and a host of new weapons, armor, and lore for players. The second of the four planned content drops known as the Byeth Updates also brings another big addition — a new Sentara-themed map to explore in the game’s sandbox and Crystal Hunt modes.

Sentara is a small maritime nation “renowned for its sailors, mercantilism, and piracy,” as developer WarpFrog put it in its “Road to Sentara” post. It’s full of weapons inspired by Mediterranean maritime nations and draws its feel from the Age of Sail, giving the whole update a pirate vibe that provides players with all sorts of new goodies to enjoy in Blade & Sorcery: Nomad.
The water-themed Sentara map is full of maritime elements, like a ship and a lighthouse, and even includes a new physics system that simulates buoyancy in the water. That means objects will float depending on their weight — and that includes you.

The Sentara map is joined by another new map, themed on Rakta, the East Asian-inspired faction that was added with the first Byeth Update. It’ll also be available in sandbox and Crystal Hunt.
Just like the Rakta Update, Sentara adds an arsenal of new gear for players to use on these new maps. These are all inspired by Mediterranean maritime nations of the Eighteenth Century, and include a dueling sword and saber, a stiletto dagger, a boarding axe, and a harpoon. But no pirate would be complete without a flintlock pistol, and the Sentara Update provides one with a Blade & Sorcery flavor.

The Sentari firearm works with Blade & Sorcery: Nomad’s crystals, rather than gunpowder. That means you can use crystals imbued with fire, gravity, and lightning to make firearms that create different effects.
You can grab new Sentari-themed faction armor to deck out your character when you’re on the battlefield, and you can face off against the Sentari faction on the Sentari map, in sandbox arenas, and in sandbox dungeons.
There’s a whole lot more to discover and use in the Sentara Update, but the good news is, you can check out the free update in Blade & Sorcery: Nomad right now.
