‘Contractors Showdown’ Kicks off Season 1 With Massive Game-Changing Updates

Contractors Showdown is continuing to evolve as a massive large-scale battle royale VR shooter with the launch of Season 1 today. This massive update is packed with tons of new mechanics and game-changing features that will completely change the way you strategize to take home the victory.

Perhaps the most impactful addition with the debut of Season 1 is the inclusion of vehicles. You’ll now be able to more quickly traverse the huge environment in Contractors Showdown with your squad since all three vehicle types will have passenger seats as well. In addition, Season 1 introduces melee weapons and a compound bow for stealthier gameplay, an all-new category of weapons with LMGs, and explosive C4 charge that you can even plant on vehicles.

All of these new game mechanics combined together will introduce a litany of new possibilities for thrilling chases and intense firefights at breakneck speeds. We’re really excited to see what kind of epic content comes out of these additions.

On top of all that, Contractors Showdown matches are about to get even more dynamic as well since the game’s also introducing a weather system. Throughout the game you may notice the weather changing and impacting how you maneuver, how visible far distance will be, and more sounds to help cover approaches but also leave you more vulnerable than ever.

During matches now you’ll also be able to engage various mission types at terminals scattered around the map. These may include objectives like bounty hunting targets, delivery escorts, and more. Completing these missions during a match will earn you special gear that’s rare to find during regular looting.

But if you get taken out in a match, don’t worry: you have more options to make it back into the fray in Season 1 thanks to the new Prison system. Once you go down for the first time, you’re dropped into a deathmatch scenario against another player who was recently eliminated. The winner of this 1v1 is redeployed to the battlefield for a second chance!

Finally, Season 1 of Contractors Showdown will include two new playable characters and a Battle Pass with lots of cosmetics and other rewards to keep you playing consistently.
