A Playground For Your Mind: ‘Headspace XR’ Introduces Improvements, Now Available For $19.99
It’s been a little over two months since Headspace XR launched on the Meta Quest Store. Since then, Headspace and developer Nexus Studios have been listening closely to community feedback and continuing their investment in the app by adding updates including subtitles, performance optimizations, UI improvements, and more. And today, we’re excited to share that the app is now available for $19.99 USD, making their premium mindfulness content available at an even more accessible price point.
We sat down with Headspace Vice President of Content Creation Sara Cohen to learn more.
Sara Cohen: We have been so excited to see the community response to Headspace XR since we launched. We’ve heard from our community that they are finding the environment and experiences that we’ve created to make practicing mindfulness easy and fun! We have also heard a lot of enthusiasm around earning flow bursts (rewards) in our world, which then allow users to customize their avatar with different colors and patterns as they complete mindfulness experiences in the app. People have also been really surprised with how unexpected our “playground for your mind” is and that people experience feeling more relaxed both in-headset and once they take it off, which has been a goal of ours from the start.
SC: Yes, we launched in March and have been paying close attention to how the community has been using the product and where we can make adjustments on a regular basis. Over the last two months, we have made a number of improvements to performance optimizations for the hub (where you land as soon as you enter the app) and our MR experiences that include new UI to help with transitioning into MR.
SC: We have seen a lot of positive feedback come in from our community since making the performance updates. Just the other day, we got a user review from someone who had tried the app before we made these performance enhancements, and now they’re very delighted when they entered Headspace XR again. They even find themselves “craving it now.”
SC: Well, it is May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month, so I want to invite anyone who hasn’t tried Headspace XR yet to be kind to their mind and jump in! Give Headspace XR a try and invite your family and friends alongside you. Experience this playground for your mind and share your thoughts with us!
