Join Us at GDC, PAX East, and E3!
GDC 2019 is just over a month away, and we’re excited to give you some details on what we’re up to. Head of VR Product Nate Mitchell just shared his thoughts on where we’ve been and where we’re going—now, read on to hear how we’re showing up!

Game On: GDC
Head down to the North Hall Mezzanine Lobby of San Francisco’s Moscone Center March 18 – 22 to get hands-on with Oculus Quest demos, or visit us and our Facebook Gaming friends at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts with your GDC badge March 20 – 22 for some never-before-seen action away from the show floor.
We’ve also got some can’t-miss talks lined up as part of GDC’s conference program. Check out the highlights:
- Down the Rabbit Hole with Oculus Quest // Chris Pruett (Director of Ecosystem, Oculus)
- Game Design Workshop Day 1 + Day 2 // Marcus Montgomery (Product Specialist, Oculus)
- Leadership: Working at the Heart of the Team 2019 // Brian Sharp ( Product Manager, Oculus)
- Producer Bootcamp: What the Heck Is Process? // Ruth Tomandl (Technical Program Manager, Facebook Reality Labs)
- Sculpting and Simulations with 6DOF Controllers // David Farrell (Software Engineer, Oculus)
- Using the Power of Games to Improve Global Communities // Leo Olebe (Global Director of Gaming Partnerships, Facebook)
Playable @ PAX East
Next, we’re headed to Boston March 28 – 31 for PAX East. We want to bring Quest directly to our fans, so we’ll come out in full force to show off our latest games and hardware! Check out Nate’s post for a tease of what you can expect (hint: public demos of a new adventure game from the developer behind Face Your Fears and The Well). We’ll have more details to share as we get closer to the event, but rest assured we’ll have demos, tournaments, and a sexy pin.
E3 Encore
Last, but not least, mark your calendars for June 11 – 13 when we’ll be back in Los Angeles for E3! Nothing specific to share just yet, but we can promise some playtime with the latest from Oculus Studios.
Stay tuned to the blog (and Twitter) for more on what to expect as we get closer to each event. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to.
If you think you know VR gaming, think again.
