‘Lone Echo II’ Wins Immersive Reality Game of the Year at the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards

Last week the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) revealed the winners for the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. Previously we announced all of the amazing VR games nominated across Immersive Reality Technical Achievement and Immersive Reality Game of the Year, including Resident Evil 4, Lone Echo II, Demeo, I Expect You To Die 2, Song in the Smoke, Puzzling Places, and YUKI. Additionally, The Climb 2 from Crytek broke out of the Immersive Reality categories and secured a nomination for overall Sports Game of the Year. Now, we’re thrilled to congratulate Ready At Dawn Studios for Lone Echo II winning in both categories: Immersive Reality Technical Achievement and Immersive Reality Game of the Year! That’s a tremendous accomplishment and great honor for such a captivating adventure built from-the-ground up for the Rift platform.

In Lone Echo II, players will once again step into the role of the android Jack as he embarks on another captivating adventure alongside Captain Olivia “Liv” Rhodes. The highly-anticipated sequel to Lone Echo brings back all of the innovative features that made the original a favorite of players everywhere including zero-gravity controls, stunning visuals, and an epic, emotional story. Utilize a wide assortment of new tools and abilities to overcome complex challenges as you unravel the mysteries of the far future.

Last year, Windows Central awarded Lone Echo II an astounding 5/5 score in its review, dubbing it a “must-have” with “gorgeous visuals and animation” setting a high-bar for future VR titles with its gripping story and high production values.
