Meta Horizon Worlds Spotlight: ALIENS! At the Drive-In?

Welcome back to our weekly spotlight on the people building for Meta Horizon Worlds and their amazing creations.

This month, we’ve been shining the spotlight on the Worlds creators who won The Game Awards Future Class competition: Team N0M4DVR, Team MsMust, and Team Cthunicorn.

Last week, we explored Team MsMust’s Affinity Forest, a peaceful world where we can play little games, wander into convivial social spots, or even just check out incredible views—all so that we can be confident expressing and being our best selves and meeting new people.

This week, we got up-close and personal with some visitors from outer space while serving some diner food in Team Cthunicorn’s ALIENS! At the Drive-In? This is an exciting and social world where you can race your friends to deliver grub to demanding guests while also fending off some pesky aliens.

Everyone loves the drive-in. Even if you’ve never actually been to one, we’ve all seen them in the movies. They’re a great place to watch a film, eat some snacks, and hang out in a station wagon with your friends or family.

But if you’re working there, you have to somehow keep on getting those hot dogs, sodas, pizza, and popcorn to hungry customers even as you gracefully handle any unruly guests.

That’s exactly the situation in Team Cthunicorn’s ALIENS! At the Drive-In? In this fun little world, your task is to rush around serving hot food as fast as it’s ordered, while also defending the drive-in from aliens who’ve traveled all this way just to destroy the generators powering the show. This is why we can’t have nice things. In any case, can you handle the gig, and even better, do it better and faster than your buddies and make sure everyone can just munch their snacks in peace?

Well, grab your apron and your giant alien-bopping hammer and get to work! You can rest when the movie’s over.
