Meta Horizon Worlds Spotlight: M5DivineTime
Welcome back to our weekly spotlight on the people building for Meta Horizon Worlds and their amazing creations.
Since the beginning of February, in recognition of Black History Month, we’ve been celebrating Black creators who are building inspiring creations, as well as some of their worlds. Last week, we took in the peace and calm of Saydeechan’s Cosmic Garden, and the week before we spoke with JoyReign.

This week, we spent some time with M5DivineTime, who built The Warehouse, a ’90s-style nightclub, about how VR helped her build stronger connections with her teenagers and how Worlds is helping to jump start her business empire.
I’m a mother of three, and during the COVID lockdown, I wanted a way to better connect with my teenagers. So we started playing Beat Saber together, then moved on to events in what was Horizon Venues. Eventually, we discovered Worlds.
Most of the time when I’m building, the environment around me has a huge impact on my stress levels and inspiration. Building in Worlds has given me a different perspective on how things work, and that helps me stress less.
I want them to have an unforgettable, immersive experience where they feel comfortable and relaxed and as if they’ve been transported to a completely different realm.
When I initially began building in Worlds, I viewed it as a hobby. But a year later, I’ve had numerous opportunities present themselves, and that’s allowed me to use my building skills for charitable causes. It’s also allowed me to establish several businesses—Divine Lux Properties LLC, DLux Sports, and DLux Production Studios.

To me, collaborating is one of the highlights of building in Worlds because I get to learn from some people and help out others (or both!)—working together is a great experience that often leads to amazing projects and results. Furthermore, it’s always nice to see other perspectives and be able to bring something unique and valuable to the table.
Take your time, never be afraid to ask for help, remember that the things you learn on your creative journey are meant to be shared with others, and stay positive because it gets easier as the days go by.
Over the last year, I’ve watched it really evolve. As time passes, the experience is only getting better, and the possibilities seem endless. I can only imagine what the next wave of creators will do.
We’re already living in a world that not that long ago could have only been imagined in our wildest dreams. From being able to speak to and collaborate with people all over the globe to controlling objects together without being in the same room, the possibilities VR presents truly add to the awe-inspiring nature of the future.
My favorite experience is VR as a whole, but I do prefer comfort over intense gaming or apps.
