Meta Horizon Worlds v115 is here! This release includes a Worlds-wide rollout of the new Pause feature and world importing improvements. Let’s dive in.

Press Pause: An Improved Way to Take a Break in Worlds

Want to grab a snack without leaving your Worlds session? Or is there a lot going on around you and you just need a minute? Sometimes you just want to hit Pause!

We started testing this experience and got positive feedback from the Worlds community, so we’re rolling these improvements out to everyone. It’s never been easier to take a break.

In the coming weeks, we’ll roll out new features and functionality for Pause, including updating the existing shield icon to a pause button.

We improved the entire experience (previously called Safe Zone) so you can more seamlessly transition in and out of Pause and added new actions to help you make the most out of your time away from your Worlds session. These updates include:

  • Pause: When you select your shield icon (soon-to-be pause button), you’ll now see more of the details about the world you’re in, including everyone in it. All activity will appear paused.
  • Unpause: When you’re ready to hop back in, select your shield icon (soon-to-be pause button) again to unpause the activity around you. Some people may have moved while you were taking a break, but you’ll still be in the same place.
  • View someone’s profile and take quick action: You can view someone’s full profile by hovering over their name tag or going to nearby people. You can report, mute, or block someone to address an unwanted situation, and you can also send thanks if someone helped make your Worlds experience great.
  • Access your full menu: The full menu is now available if you want to visit the people tab, travel to a new place, or adjust your settings by hitting your menu button.

We’re excited to roll out new features and improved functionality for Pause in the coming weeks.

Improvements to World Importing

You can now choose between a “merge” import and a “replace all” import when importing from another world to the one you’re editing. You can also choose to bring over player variables, leaderboards, and/or achievements along with the rest of the assets in the world. Please note that these variables are always additive and don’t replace any existing ones in your world.
