Quality of Life Improvements

Creators

  • We continue to test features related to quests and rewards. Some people in the test group may see limited-time experiments where in-world achievements from different worlds are shown on the new quest panel.

Bug Fixes

General

  • We made multiple fixes to improve traveling for people who were having difficulty traveling to edit their worlds.

Creators

  • We fixed a bug where swapping between build and preview mode made a script that had been changed from Local to Default revert back to Local.
  • We fixed a bug where the creation and scripting UI would sometimes disappear.
  • We fixed a bug where objects spawned by a script sometimes had their property panel open by default.
  • We fixed a bug where the loading screen became slower each time someone traveled between Creation and Published versions of a world.
  • We fixed a bug where pressing “reset” in the debug console would occasionally seem unresponsive, followed by a temporary freeze, before resetting.
  • To avoid saving errors when duplicating large selections of objects, creators can no longer duplicate a selection if the resulting world is over the complexity limit.
  • We fixed a bug where undoing deformed object movement in a stretched group caused the group to deform unexpectedly.
  • We fixed a bug where the scale, move, and rotate manipulators on the Y-axis would collide with “door” gizmos and “leaderboard” gizmos.
  • We fixed a bug where, when editing a group, child objects within the group would sometimes get stuck while moving them.
  • In v120, we fixed a bug where property panels would close and not minimize when the maximum property panel limit was reached.

Known Issues

General

  • When people use the sad emote gesture (one thumb down), they actually trigger the angry emote.

Creation

  • The boundary box grows huge when selecting and picking up grabbable objects.
  • An object’s tag in the attributes panel can’t be completely deleted unless you modify the tag before deleting all characters.
  • Creators sometimes receive a console error of an object with a broken script reference when that object doesn’t have a script attached.
  • Worlds that have many collaborators sometimes have problems loading their door content.
  • Creators are unable to group more than 1,000 items at once.
  • There’s an error in the sequence of scripting events regarding player entry. The “player enters” event is fired before the “world starts” event.
