Meta Horizon Worlds v123 is here! This week, we’re expanding a feature test related to quests and rewards alongside a handful of bug fixes. And be sure to mark your calendars for Thursday Night Rumble, every Thursday night from 5:00 to 7:00 pm PT—it’s the perfect time to throw down in Super Rumble and show the competition what you’ve got.

Quality of Life Improvements

General

  • We’re continuing to test features related to quests and rewards, so some people may see limited-time experiments where in-world achievements and quests are shown on the World details page.

Bug Fixes

General

  • Avatars should now appear brighter while looking at their hands or their reflection when in Welcome Island.
  • We fixed an issue that prevented objects from moving smoothly, which was particularly noticeable on large objects that rotate very slowly.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented people in a Party from accepting an invitation to another Party member’s Personal Space.

Creators

  • We fixed an issue that prevented people from creating more than 75 Persistent Player Variables.
  • We fixed a bug where a duplicated object with a defined center of mass exhibited erratic sliding behavior instead of normal movement.

Known Issues

General

  • When someone uses the “sad” emote, the “angry” emote is sometimes triggered in error.
  • Grabbable objects will apply a physics force to the avatar.
  • Sometimes grab points are difficult to see or grab.
  • When the World Music setting is set to 0%, the music continues to play.

Creators

  • An object’s tag can’t be completely deleted unless you modify the tag before deleting all characters.
  • Worlds with several collaborators sometimes have problems loading their door content.
  • There’s an error in the sequence of scripting events regarding player entry, causing the “player enters” event to fire before the “world starts” event.
