This week’s Meta Horizon Worlds release notes cover both v137 (which went out on November 22 during the US holiday week) and v138. Updates include a new setting for portals we’re testing out and a handful of bug fixes.

Quality of Life Improvements

General

  • We’re experimenting with a new setting that some people will see in the Horizon menu to let them automatically hide portals from people they don’t know.

Highlighted Bug Fixes

Here are some highlighted bug fixes for this week’s release.

General

  • We fixed an issue causing graphics to glitch/flicker on Quest 3.

Creators

  • We removed some extra spacing added to the Achievement Board gizmo to prevent buttons from disappearing.
  • We fixed an issue that was causing “headlock” to occur after loading into a world in Edit mode.

Select Known Issues

Here are some of the known issues the Worlds team is currently investigating.

General

  • Controller triggers don’t always fire code events if both are clicked at the same time. Creators should take note so that they don’t rely on this functionality for anything major in their worlds (e.g., to start a round of a game).
  • When the user rotates the controllers in their physical hand, the avatar hand rotates continuously.

Creators

  • The “when object detaches from player” codeblock doesn’t fire in some cases.
