Making Meta Ray-Ban Display More Useful to More People

We launched Meta Ray-Ban Display with the goal of making the best display glasses, and to keep making them better over time. Today at Meta Connect 2026, we shared major updates that make Meta Ray-Ban Display more useful and accessible to more people, including new ways to purchase*, expansion to five new markets — the UK, Canada, Germany, France, and Italy — and new features that make the glasses even more useful every day.

New Ways to Navigate

We’re adding new functions to heads-up navigation, building on one of Meta Ray-Ban Display’s most popular features:

  • Cycling and public transit directions. Use your voice to ask for directions and your glasses will show you turn-by-turn cycling directions or real-time transit departures on the display so you can keep your phone in your pocket. Available starting later this month in the US and Canada.
  • Navigation that actually sounds like a person. Meta Ray-Ban Display will use the world in front of you rather than street signs in turn-by-turn walking directions, so it will tell you to turn left at the yellow house, for example, rather than “turn left at Third Street.”

Hologram for Video Calls

Glasses are great for hands-free calls, but the person on the other end can't see your face. Hologram closes that gap. After a short self-capture in the Meta AI app, you get a photorealistic digital version of your face for calls from Meta Ray-Ban Display — so your mom sees your photorealistic hologram while you cook together on opposite coasts. No propping up a phone or having to hold it in front of your face. No awkward angles. Your hologram is driven entirely by your voice, and the hologram model infers your expression from what you're saying and how you're saying it. Hologram begins rolling out in Early Access on WhatsApp to Meta Ray-Ban Display users in the US later this fall.

A Place for Discovering Web Apps

Soon, you’ll be able to browse and use a growing selection of experiences built for your glasses via Explore, a new on-glasses app, and in the Meta AI app. We’re excited to show you what developers and the Meta Ray-Ban Display community have been building.

Better Ways to Capture Important Moments

  • Dolby Atmos Capture. Our AI glasses are the first consumer device that enables users to capture and experience videos in Dolby Atmos. Capture and relive moments in true, spatial surround sound — recorded natively so playback feels as immersive as being there.

Stay On Top of Your Busy Life

  • A More Powerful Calendar. See who's attending a meeting, accept or decline invites, and join meetings, all from your glasses. Available in English in the US at launch.
  • Mirrored Notifications. Coming soon, phone notifications show up right on the Meta Ray-Ban Display screen so you can see what needs your attention at a glance. You control your notifications and can choose the ones you want to turn off.
  • Threads for Community Feeds. Threads can be your real-time companion for live moments. Follow curated Community Feeds and repost threads you love, all from your glasses.

More Ways to Experience and Buy Meta Ray-Ban Display

We're making Meta Ray-Ban Display accessible to more people, expanding to the UK, Canada, France, Italy, and Germany, and introducing online ordering in the US and the five new markets. Meta Ray-Ban Display goes on sale today in the UK and Canada, starting at £749 and CA$1,149, respectively. The ability to pre-order will roll out across countries starting today in France, Italy, and Germany, starting at €899, ahead of availability on October 13. In the US, Meta Ray-Ban Display continues to start at $799 USD and is now also available to order online. Meta Ray-Ban Display with prescription lenses will be available through meta.com in the US and Canada. Select retail locations in the UK, France, and Italy will support prescription.

Whether shopping in-store or online, we're giving customers more ways to access Meta Ray-Ban Display and find the experience that works for them. In our new markets, we’re starting with select retail locations in priority cities, focusing on places where the most customers can experience Meta Ray-Ban Display firsthand — including seeing the display and visual Meta AI in action, trying on the glasses, and finding the right fit. Online ordering extends access even further, with a new digital sizing tool to help customers find the right size and shop with confidence. Customers can find a participating retailer, schedule a demo, or shop online here.

* US: Online ordering begins today.

Canada and UK: Online ordering and retail sales (Vancouver, Toronto, and London) begin today.
