Nothing But Net: The NBA Returns to Xtadium & Meta Horizon Worlds with Immersive Games for the 2023-24 Season
Get ready to go courtside from the comfort of your home. The 2023-24 NBA season tipped off yesterday, and Meta Quest is proud to return as the official VR headset of the NBA as part of our expanded partnership. From live immersive games in 180° and on-demand content in Xtadium to our dedicated interactive NBA Arena in Meta Horizon Worlds, NBA on Meta Quest is the ultimate fan experience.*

New for this season, all 52 games shown in Xtadium—and all the games available via Worlds—will be filmed in immersive 180-degree VR—a massive increase from the five immersive games last season. That means you can experience the thrills and excitement of live NBA games up-close-and-personal from your own virtual courtside seats.

Looking for a social sports experience? Share the experience of game night with friends using Xtadium’s Watch Party feature. Invite friends to join you in your own private party room and catch the game together in VR as avatars.
In the mood for some hoops on-demand? Xtadium’s got you covered. Catch every buzzer beater and watch your favorite teams, all at the same time, with NBA League Pass.** Account holders can watch up to eight games simultaneously in Multi-Game Mode, a customizable mixed reality experience that blends your physical and digital worlds. Check out the latest player stats and follow every alert, like, and mention on social media while watching the game. NBA fans will also be able to take a break without removing their headsets thanks to Meta Quest’s Passthrough feature.
And mark your calendars, because the NBA Arena returns to Worlds on November 17. In addition to live immersive games, you can play interactive games like the Slam Dunk Jam and Basket Blitz to show off your skills as you hang out with fellow fans. You can roleplay as a broadcaster or concessions stand manager. Unlock stickers, unique emotes, exclusive avatar wearables, and access to the VIP Lounge by attending immersive games or playing mini-games in NBA Arena. And throughout the 2023-24 NBA season, you’ll be able to purchase your favorite NBA or WNBA team’s apparel for your avatar to wear in VR as well as on Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.
Whether your team’s playing at home or away, immersive games in 180-degree VR transport you from your couch to courtside, while MR lets you watch 2D on-demand content on a massive screen in your own space. This is the NBA like you’ve never seen it before.
