NEKOMANIA: Celebrate 10 Years of ‘Neko Atsume’ With These Purrfect VR Collaborations on Quest

Can you believe that the original Neko Atsume Kitty Collector first released on iOS and Android devices over ten years ago? For those unaware, this massively popular game is all about attracting cute kitties to your home by placing snacks and toys and watching them lounge about, explore, and play. That’s a solid decade of cat collection, which still isn’t near enough for avid feline fanatics.

Thankfully, the adorable delight of amassing an army of kittens has continued and expanded far beyond its original release and today, we’re thrilled to unveil the NEKOMANIA collaboration event to ring in the game’s 10-year anniversary.

NEKOMANIA runs from today, February 21, until March 20. The best way to celebrate is of course to check out Neko Atsume Purrfect Kitty Collector for yourself in mixed reality on Meta Quest, but we couldn’t contain the allure of the cuddly kitties to just their own game as they’ve found their way into several other top VR games on the Quest platform as well.

The full list of invaded titles includes:

• Brazen Blaze: You can place a cat in your customization closet and cats will start to appear around stages. When you interact with them, they will follow you to your closet outside of matches. There is also a reward for collecting all cats.
• Breachers: You can unlock a gun charm that dangles off the side of your gun featuring a cute kitty hanging from a ball of yarn.
• DigiGods: Cat-inspired player costumes, playground equipment inspired by Neko Atsume in game, and more!
• Gorilla Tag: You can shop at a new hut decorated with the NEKOMANIA logo that will sell cosmetics such as cat ears, gloves, and a tail.
• Walkabout Mini Golf: Neko stickers and easter eggs are coming to Walkabout Mini Golf soon! Until then, can you solve the Neko riddles on the course?
• X8: There will be stickers, skins, and other items to customize your weapons.
