Pocket Presence: ‘NFL PRO ERA II’ Launches September 28 on Meta Quest 2

It’s been nearly a year since the launch of NFL PRO ERA, which marked the first-ever officially NFL and NFLPA licensed game in VR. At this summer’s Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, StatusPRO, Inc. teased the next step in the game’s evolution. And today, the sports technology and gaming company formally announced NFL PRO ERA II—the new-and-improved second outing for the franchise launching September 28 for Meta Quest 2. Players can opt to play solo or challenge their friends and opponents from around the world to see who can lead their team to victory in a new head-to-head multiplayer mode.

On the heels of the NFL 2023-24 season kick-off, NFL PRO ERA II will let players once again take to the gridiron to compete as the quarterback of their favorite NFL teams. This is your chance to experience the challenges faced by your favorite QBs, including the likes of Justin Fields, Patrick Mahomes, Brock Purdy, and Lamar Jackson, who returns as the year’s cover athlete.

“To date, VR has been perceived to be a very individualized experience,” says StausPRO Co-Founder and CEO Troy Jones. “NFL PRO ERA II will reduce this friction by embodying what sports is all about: competition. The new and improved version of the game allows players to become the quarterback of their favorite team and go head-to-head against their friends. Career mode is getting an upgrade, letting players become a legend by taking their team to multiple Super Bowls as they progress through their career inside the game. Multiplayer freeplay will also be enhanced, letting players join each other on a full, open field to play catch or test trick shots.

NFL PRO ERA II will come with improved passing and player movement, advanced AI for more accurate tackling and catches, better graphics, and a stronger experience overall where players can hear the cheers when playing at home—and the boos when playing away.
