‘POPULATION: ONE’ Launches Event Series 1: Earn Unique Rewards for Free

The new year is in full swing, and POPULATION: ONE is back with its first free content update of 2024: Event Series 1!

For the uninitiated, POPULATION: ONE is the belle of the VR battle royale ball, especially since going free-to-play last year. As part of today’s update, the team at BigBox VR is adding a new weapon: the SPR. A sniper rifle with the first ever videoscope in POP1, the SPR offers six shots, and it’s semi-automatic, so there’s no racking needed between shots. The Sandbox point of interest on the Evolving Map has also been updated to a new community Sandbox creation, Ironworks, so be sure to check that out.

Event Series 1 includes three unique events, each with their own rewards. Players can also earn up to 10 series stars per event to unlock series rewards. The first event, Core Deposit, kicks off now!

In Core Deposit, you’ll collect red power cores found randomly around the map. Deposit those at core converters around the map for increasingly rare items, all the way to the most powerful 5-star red weapons. Collect and deposit cores with your squad to earn event rewards plus stars toward series rewards.
