Spring has sprung, and summer’s up next, which means it’s officially sunnies season! Whether you want to get answers to questions on the fly from Meta AI, listen to music or podcasts on the go, or capture the moments that matter without having to stop and pull out your phone, Ray-Ban Meta glasses are the perfect companion—letting you take on life with iconic style. And today, we’re sharing the latest news and updates to supercharge the season.

First up, we’re serving new looks so you can opt for the perfect pair to suit your style. Starting today, we’ve got new and expanded Skyler frame and lens color combos. The new Skyler Shiny Chalky Gray with Transitions® Sapphire lenses is perfect for those who favor a cat-eye shape in a neutral tone with a pop of color and great for indoor and outdoor use. But if you prefer a more timeless aesthetic, you can also now grab Skyler Shiny Black with G15 Green lenses or Skyler Shiny Black with Clear lenses.

And your software is also getting an upgrade. Previously available in Early Access in select countries, our live translation feature is now rolling out broadly to all our markets. Whether you’re traveling to a new country and need to ask for directions to the train station or you’re spending quality time with a family member and need to break the language barrier, you can hold seamless conversations across English, French, Italian, and Spanish—even when you’re on airplane mode, if you’ve downloaded the language pack in advance. When you’re speaking to someone in one of those languages, you’ll hear what they say in your preferred language through the glasses in real time, and they can view a translated transcript of the conversation on your phone. To get started, just say, “Hey Meta, start live translation.”

“Hey Meta, start live translation.”

You’ll also soon be able to send and receive direct messages, photos, audio calls, and video calls from Instagram on your glasses. This joins being able to make calls and send messages through WhatsApp and Messenger, as well as the native messaging app on your iPhone or Android phone. No matter where your crew communicates, you can stay plugged in and connected effortlessly. Just say, “Hey Meta, send a message to Lisa on Instagram.”

It’s also the perfect time to start listening to your spring and summer playlists. We’re starting to expand access to music apps including Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Shazam beyond the US and Canada, so now you’ll be able to ask Meta AI to play music and listen to your favorite tunes anywhere as long as your default language is set to English. This includes the ability to ask Meta AI for information about the music you’re listening to. Hear a catchy verse or riff and want to learn more? Just say “Hey Meta, what’s the name of this song?” or “Hey Meta, when did this album come out?”

And coming soon to general availability in the US and Canada, you’ll be able to hold a conversation with Meta AI on your Ray-Ban Meta glasses where our smart assistant can see what you see continuously and converse with you more naturally. In the middle of cooking dinner and you don’t have as much butter as you thought? Ask Meta AI to see if there’s a substitute based on what it sees in your pantry or refrigerator. And follow it up by asking which wine in your rack pairs best with the meal. You can speak as you normally would without needing to say “Hey, Meta” each time, and Meta AI will respond in kind for a smooth, natural experience. Just say, “Hey Meta, start live AI” to begin.

We’re also expanding access to Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses in even more countries in the EU today, and starting next week, we’ll be rolling out the ability for you to ask Meta AI about the things you’re looking at and get real-time responses to all our supported countries in the EU. This functionality just made its way to our friends across the pond in the UK earlier this month, and the response so far has been incredible. And coming soon, we’re launching Ray-Ban Meta glasses in Mexico, India, and the United Arab Emirates. We can’t wait for more people across the globe to get in on the action.

“Hey Meta, convert this to US dollars.”

Thanks to software updates like these, your AI glasses continue to get smarter and more useful over time. Stay tuned for even more updates in the days and weeks ahead.
