Introducing a New Line of Ray-Ban Meta Glasses Built for Prescriptions and All-Day Comfort — Plus More Colors, Lenses, and Software Updates Across Our Collection

People all over the world have already discovered the power of AI glasses. We’ve sold millions of units across our full collection in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, with sales more than tripling year over year. Now, we’re focused on building the deepest lineup of AI glasses across every use case, whether you’re training outdoors or just going about your day.
Billions of people wear glasses or contacts for vision correction and many Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta users already add prescription lenses to their AI glasses. Today, we’re rolling out an optical-forward pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses that support nearly all prescriptions. These are also the most comfortable glasses we’ve ever designed — aimed to better support all-day wear, even if you don’t need a prescription. Ergonomic features such as overextension hinges, interchangeable nose-pads, and optician-adjustable temple tips help make these new Ray-Ban Meta styles adaptable to individual face shapes for a tailored fit.
The new Ray-Ban Meta Optics Styles come in two frames: a rectangular “Blayzer Optics” design available in two sizes (Standard and Large) and a more rounded “Scriber Optics” frame — each with a lightweight, slimmer form. Colors include Matte Black, Transparent Black, and Transparent Dark Olive, and you can also grab seasonal colors like Transparent Matte Ice Grey and Transparent Stone Beige. The new line comes with a new, Dark Brown charging carrying case.
The new Ray-Ban Meta Optics Styles offer all the great features you know and love from our AI glasses and are built to be an everyday part of your life. The glasses will be available for pre-order in the US beginning today from Meta.com and Ray-Ban.com, and available at optical retailers in the United States and select international markets starting April 14. Pricing starts at $499.

We’re also expanding our offerings across the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) and Oakley Meta lines, with more lenses to make your AI glasses even more useful for all your activities.
We’re expanding the offerings for Oakley Meta Vanguard and HSTN, with new combinations of colors and lenses. This includes Prizm™ Dark Golf lenses that provide vibrance, contrast, and color-boosting vision on the golf course, and for the first time, Oakley Meta Vanguard will be available with Prizm™ Transitions® lenses that are designed to adapt in any light for optimal outdoor performance. The full range of new frame colors and lenses include:
- Vanguard Black with Prizm™ Black Lenses
- Vanguard White with Prizm™ Rose Gold Lenses

- Vanguard Prizm™ Transitions® Cobalt Lenses (arriving later this Spring)

We’re also making your AI glasses more expressive. This spring and summer, we’ve got three new limited-time-only seasonal colors for Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2). For the Skyler style, we’re adding Shiny Transparent Peach with Transitions® Brown Lenses; for Headliner, there’s Matte Transparent Peach with Transitions® Grey Lenses; and for Wayfarer, there’s Shiny Transparent Grey with Transitions® Sapphire Lenses.
Even More Features and Meta AI Capabilities on the Way
Beyond just looking great, with regular software upgrades and new AI features, our glasses are always getting more useful, helpful, and intuitive. Think of Meta AI as your always-ready assistant, right on your frames. It simplifies your life by seeing what you see and hearing what you hear. This unique, hands-free vantage point helps you stay connected and get things done without needing to pull out your phone.
First up, we’re making nutrition tracking on our AI glasses easier. With a simple voice prompt or quick photo, you can log what you eat hands-free, and Meta AI will extract key nutrition details and add them to your food log in the Meta AI app. Over time, your food log powers increasingly personalized insights that get more useful, helping you make healthier, more informed choices. When you want guidance in the moment, you can ask Meta AI questions about what to eat next — like “What should I eat to increase my energy?” — with answers that take your food log and goals into account. This will be available to users aged 18+in the U.S. on Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses soon, and Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses later this summer.
As we shared this past Connect, with ongoing software updates, Meta AI on glasses will transition from something you have to prompt with a question each time, to a more continuous, in-the-moment assistant that can help throughout the day. For example, in the future, we’ll get to a point where your AI glasses can understand what you’re eating and automatically log your food. So you can get even richer, more personalized nutrition insights without having to remember to log every meal.
We’re also introducing hands-free WhatsApp summaries and recall into our Early Access Program (EAP). You’ll be able to ask, “Hey Meta, catch me up on my messages,” for a concise group chat summary, or ask for specific details like, “What did Jamie suggest for dinner?” These interactions are processed on device and remain private with end-to-end encryption. This is coming soon to EAP users on Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, and Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses.
Do More on Meta Ray-Ban Display
More ways to connect with people and content you care about has been a top request from our Meta Ray-Ban Display community, and our latest software update delivers — so now there’s more of what you love right in front of you.
Waiting in line or riding the train? Now you can scroll through Instagram Reels right from your glasses. Music lovers get a faster path to their favorites with personalized Spotify “Shortcuts” right below the media player, giving you quick access to recently played tracks, and your favorite playlists; or just ask Meta to play a song that matches your view and your glasses will play personalized Spotify soundtracks for you. And, two new games — classic puzzle game 2048 and the new platformer GOAT — are now playable right on your display, controlled with Meta Neural Band.

New glanceable widgets put the info you check most, Reminders, Weather, Stocks, and Calendar — right on your home screen. There’s also now a standalone Calendar app that integrates with Google Calendar and Outlook so you can privately view and manage your schedule in the display.
And even more is on the way this spring. Soon, you’ll be able to record both your display and your point-of-view video at the same time. Display recording combines your in-lens display interactions, your view of the world, and audio into a single, ready-to-share video — perfect for showing friends and followers exactly what it’s like to experience the world through your glasses.
Neural Handwriting is also rolling out to everyone in the coming weeks — and it’s coming to iMessage. Write with your finger on any surface to reply to messages silently and discreetly. It works across Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and native Android and iOS messaging. Lastly, our pedestrian navigation feature is expanding to every city across the US in May, so you can get turn-by-turn directions right in your lens, keeping your head up and phone in your pocket.

New Market Availability & Languages for Live Translation
With the updates today, we’re also happy to share that we're expanding retail availability for our Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses to new international markets in the coming months, including Japan, Korea, Singapore, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. And to help you stay connected wherever you are, we’re expanding our live translation feature — which translates speech in real time — across 20 languages this summer, including Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, and Arabic.
This spring and summer, we’re making it even easier to find AI glasses in more places with the style, color, lenses, and features that are a perfect fit for you and your life.
