Take a Shot of ‘Espresso’ With Sabrina Carpenter in ‘Beat Saber’
Summer’s in full swing, and some songs just feel like sunshine. Loosen up, get your headset on, and start swinging those sabers like you’re on the Italian Coast: Sabrina Carpenter is here with Beat Saber’s newest Shock Drop, available right now.“Espresso” is a summer anthem if there ever was one, light and airy but sharp enough to win Song of the Year and Best Solo Pop Performance at the 2025 Grammys. You can get it here.
Former Disney kid Sabrina Carpenter was born to be a pop star—effortlessly charming, clever and magnetic, she’s become the kind of Gen-Z icon that the internet just can’t get enough of. She’s got the bubbly blonde presentation down to a science, with a self-aware edge that infuses everything from her fashion to her TikTok presence to her campy lyrics.
The lead single from Carpenter’s sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, “Espresso” feels built for Beat Saber, with an easy, Disco-infused groove that gets your arms swinging as the blocks fly. It’s got a bouncy pop melody that radiates Carpenter’s particular brand of quirky confidence, silly and weird but dangerous in a way that almost makes sense. But just because it’s easy to listen to doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy on Expert+.
Carpenter is a newcomer to Beat Saber, and her track pays tribute to Britney Spears by using the Queen of Pop’s environment touched off by a cup of espresso. “Espresso” follows Kendrick Llamar’s “Not Like Us,”Eminem’s “Houdini,” Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra,” and Billie Eilish’s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” in the quickly-growing Shock Drop library, where Beat Games explores trending releases. “Espresso” is playable in multiplayer, features Arc and Chain notes, and is available for 1.99 USD in the Shock Drop section of Beat Saber now.
