The only thing better than playing with gooey, sticky, stretchy slime is making it yourself — which is why Slime Lab is giving players full freedom to create exactly the kind of gunk they want.

With today’s update, Slime Lab developer Retrocell introduces a new sandbox mode, which gives players the option to make the slimes of their dreams without any restrictions. In sandbox mode, you get instant access to all the game’s ooze-inventing tools, with no limitations or progression requirements.

Adjust the properties of your slime in Slime Lab.

Slime Lab puts you in charge of making a whole lot of gooey gunk in VR, and its fluid physics-based slime system means you can stretch, merge, freeze, melt, and tear your slimes. Creating slimes also means determining and adjusting their properties, such as viscosity and stickiness, and how they interact with one another. You can also mix up dynamic slimes that might change color or physical properties, like the famous oobleck you might remember making in elementary school.

The game’s base campaign combines the chemistry of slime creation with business management. Your lab is also a shop, where you make various goos and gunks to match the orders of your customers. As you sell your slimes, you’ll earn more money, which you can spend on enhancing your lab to give you more control over your slime’s properties.

Mixing your slime.

With the new sandbox mode, you still get all the fun of creating and playing with your own slime, but in a stress-free environment that encourages experimentation and creativity. Instead of progressing through the different elements of the slime-making process by purchasing new equipment, you get unlimited money and unbreakable flasks, giving you full access to all the tools so you can make whatever you want.

The new update means you’re free to approach your slime-creating endeavors any way you want — whether you prefer the challenge of creating slimes through science and commerce, or want to go wild and express your creativity with no restrictions.

Sell your slimes to customers in Slime Lab's campaign mode.
