First Look: ILM Debuts ‘Star Wars: Beyond Victory’ Footage

Last month, our friends at ILM and Lucasfilm announced Star Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset, now in development exclusively for Quest 3 and 3S. And today, we’re back with new details and the reveal of the first Beyond Victory footage.

Players can look forward to three distinct modes:

Adventure: Using a combination of virtual and mixed reality, the story follows Volo—an aspiring podracer whose life gets flipped upside down under the mentorship of the infamous Sebulba.
Arcade: Experience the thrill of podracing on your own holotable and steer into the heart of the action like never before.
Playset: Transform your physical surroundings and create your own incredible Star Wars moments in mixed reality with a collection of unlockable virtual action figures and vehicles.

Attendees at Star Wars Celebration 2025 this week can get a special hands-on first look at the upcoming title, which takes place around the time of Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Meta Quest and ILM’s activation at Star Wars Celebration 2025 will include over a dozen demo stations where fans can check out Star Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset alongside award-winning fan favorites Vader Immortal and Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge.
