Cortopia Studios and Beyond Frames Entertainment just put an early present under the tree. Following its exclusive in-room reveal at New York Comic Con back in October, Turtles fans everywhere can now enjoy the first gameplay trailer from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City. It’s got combat, classic villains, and the patented humor of everyone’s favorite heroes on a half shell — as delivered by an all-star voice cast.

Following Shredder’s demise, the Foot Clan tightens its grip on the streets you call home. Old enemies begin to stir as the Turtles learn what it means to defend a city that’s changed in their absence. Building on decades of TMNT lore, Empire City balances grit and danger with the humor, heart, and family ties that define the franchise.

From Leonardo’s dual Katana and Raphael’s twin Sai to Donatello’s Bo Staff and Michelangelo’s Nunchucks, the Turtles’ signature weapons have been carefully designed to make each player feel like a master ninja. And because this is VR, you’ll have to physically strike, swing, and parry your way through combat, charging up your weapons to unleash your attacks.

You can sneak around or strike the Foot with a system that gives you full control over your fighting style. And instead of traditional stat boosts or skill trees, you’ll need new approaches to master your character progression and upgrades, which are facilitated by new gear and gadgets from Donatello’s workbench.

“We’re building Empire City to be the ultimate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fantasy experience, and that only works if you can play your favorite Turtle the way you want,” says Beyond Frames Entertainment CEO and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City’s Creative Director Ace St. Germain. “With over 40 years of history, many fans have jumped into TMNT at different entry points and have their own idea of their favorite version of the Turtles. Each iteration is special, and we want to leave room for you to be the version of the Turtles that means the most to you.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City launches exclusively in VR in 2026. Wishlist it today, and follow all the action on Discord, X, Instagram, and Facebook.
