There’s still a few weeks left of winter, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be active. And that’s why VR fitness is such a great solution—we can work up a sweat anytime we like, right in the comfort of our home, with Meta Quest.

This month, we’ve got some great VR fitness content for you, an inspirational video that shows just how much fun working out in VR can be and how it’s helped improve someone’s life, and we get you ready to move to the Gorillaz or Jason Derulo. So grab your headset and let’s jump in.

Voices of the Community

“VR is so physical,” says VR content creator OtterWordly, “it’s an excellent way to get fit.”

In her new video showcasing her workouts in the hit VR fitness app LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT, the well-known influencer demonstrates just how much easier it is to stick with an exercise regimen when you’re enjoying it.

And you don’t have to do it alone, she says. You’ll have an expert coach leading the way, and you can compete with others to get the best scores while getting fit.

Trainer-Led Workouts in LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT

What advice would you give to someone who’s new to VR and/or new to working out?

“I’d suggest doing five to 10 minutes initially and take a slow and steady approach. Too much at once isn’t smart.fh at once isn’t smart. That will help you build a good foundation of fitness and won’t mean you need massive recovery before you go again. Consistency at an achievable level in the early days is the way to go. Once you have established that, you develop your fitness and endurance and can manage more workouts or more time.”

Feeling Good with Synth Riders Gorrilaz Music Pack

If music is what you need to get your heart pumping, Synth Riders has your back. With the new Gorillaz Music Pack DLC, you can rock out to seven of the hit band’s most iconic songs mixed with new tracks from their Cracker Island album. Together, they bring a variety of tempos that will help you warm up and then cool down.

When you hit the “Stage” button, you can change locations so that your VR workouts always feel fresh. And now you can visit the tropics or even outer-space with the Gorillaz-themed “Psycho Road” stage.

So get ready to dodge asteroids, catch notes, and ride the rails with Synth Riders’ unique blend of freestyle dancing and VR fitness workout, either on your own or with up to 10 friends.

Keep Your VR Fitness Journey Going

We all struggle with staying active, but with VR fitness, you can do it on your time, and wherever is most convenient for you—even your living room. So remember to keep moving, whether that’s shaking your booty to hit songs while you smash targets, ducking under obstacles, or even slowing things down and centering yourself.

And if VR fitness isn’t already part of your routine, we hope it will be soon. When you’re ready, we want to hear about it. Snap a post-workout selfie and tag @MetaQuest on Instagram to share it with a VR community that wants to celebrate you. We can’t wait to see you again in March for another VR Fitness Digest.
