What to Watch: January 2026 Highlights

Welcome to 2026! We’re kicking off the new year with a batch of immersive entertainment for Meta Quest and plenty to keep you busy. We bring you some of our favorite picks each and every month, so keep an eye on the blog for future updates.


Playoff football is in full swing and there’s plenty to watch in January. You can fire up an exclusive Wild Card game to see the Chicago Bears take on the Green Day Packers at 7:30 p.m. ET on January 10 on Prime.


Hit the court on Prime throughout January with a slew of NBA games, airing on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The matchups include:

There are a whole lot of NBA games to watch this season, with Peacock-exclusive games on Mondays and coast-to-coast regional coverage through NBC on Tuesdays. You can catch them all on Peacock, which offers the option of Performance View on live games. The augmented experience includes visual overlays that show you who has the ball and how likely they are to score, track shots all the way to the hoop, and provide deeper stats and analysis. Big matchups in the English Premier League’s 2025-2026 season are on their way in January, starting with Matchweek 19. Many will be available to watch on Peacock, with the matches to be specified later.


The Party Planning Committee has put away the decorations at Dunder Mifflin, and it’s time to get back to work. Get ready to start a shift in the Warehouse, a new expansion in The Office World that brings its own activities to the branch. We’re very excited about this increase in vertical integration. Tron: Ares on Disney+*

Continuing the story of the mind-bending, visually stunning Tron saga, Tron: Ares sees a Program from the digital world making its way into the physical world for the first time. Ares has to make its way out of the world of computers on a dangerous mission, but its journey will also mark humanity’s first encounter with the AI beings at the heart of the series. Tron: Ares is streaming on Disney+.

Award-winning actor Alan Cumming hosts the fourth season of The Traitors, in which reality stars and famous faces play the ultimate murder mystery game. Contestants known as the Faithful have to work together to complete missions to build up a prize fund of $250,000, but hidden among them are the Traitors — a faction of players who can secretly “murder” one of the Faithful each night. Through subterfuge, deception, and betrayal, the Traitor players try to eliminate all the Faithful and steal the prize money, while the Faithful work to root out all the Traitors and split the pot. Season 4 of The Traitors premieres on January 8 on Peacock.


In Moscow, 1977, two women who work as secretaries in the American Embassy find themselves suddenly embroiled in the Cold War after their husbands are killed in the USSR. Inducted as CIA operatives, Bea (Emilia Clark) and Twila (Haley Lu Richardson) must work together to solve the mystery that made them widows. Ponies is a psychological espionage thriller series and premieres on January 15, exclusively on Peacock.


Four years after her brother Finn (Mason Thames) killed the infamous child murderer known as The Grabber, 15-year-old Gwen (Madeleine McGraw) is besieged by dreams of more slayings — but this time, at a summer camp, 30 years in the past. The kids set out to uncover what the dreams mean and quickly find there is more haunting Gwen than just dreams. You can stream Black Phone 2 on January 16 on Peacock.
