W All Day: WNBA + Meta Quest Stage One-Day Takeover of the NBA Store in NYC
AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025 is nearly upon us, and the Meta Quest crew joined forces with the W yesterday for a surprise one-day takeover of the flagship NBA Store in NYC.

With LIVE and on-demand games streaming in Xtadium and NBA Arena, Quest gets fans closer to the WNBA, delivering a courtside experience wherever you are—whether that’s channel surfing on the couch, getting in a little globetrotting, or somewhere in between.
We decided to bring the best of the league to the Big Apple.

The official DJ of the New York Liberty Maria Clifton joined fellow DJ Goldie Harris on the ones and twos as attendees hung out with WNBA legend and five-time Olympic gold medalist Sue Bird and New York Liberty mascot, Big Ellie.

Bird’s attendance was an incredible honor, given her enduring leadership and legacy in basketball. Widely credited with ushering the WNBA into a new era of visibility and influence, she remains at the forefront of culture and a mentor for the next generation. Our goal at Meta is to help enhance the fan experience through VR, and we could think of no better athlete to team up with for this event. Her unparalleled experience, commitment to advancing women’s sports, and vision for the future perfectly align with our efforts to innovate and inspire at the intersection of sports and technology.
We transformed the first-floor of the store into a custom WNBA courtside experience, complete with hardwood floors and folding chairs, where people got hands-on with the headset and watched some WNBA highlights from a new POV.

Our NBA Arena Pop-A-Shot challenge was MC’d by basketball commentator FILAYYYY and everyone’s favorite auntie Janae Sims. High-scorers walked away with some WNBA All-Star merch, while other competitors got their hands on some exclusive WNBA x Meta Quest swag. Some lucky attendees even earned a golden ticket for a free Meta Quest headset.

A true celebration of sport, this was the WNBA’s first-ever pop-up event at New York’s flagship NBA Store. We’d like to give a massive “thanks” to all the fans who came out and made W All Day a day to remember. Learn more about the WNBA (and NBA, natch) on Quest.
