Meta Horizon Worlds v118 is here! This week’s update includes a new section in the Asset Library where you can discover relevant assets to spruce up your worlds, a new way for you to customize your profile image using your own photos from Worlds, and new controls for world chat. Let’s dive in.

A New Way to Build: “For Your World” Section Added to Asset Library

Following our release of the Popular section, the new “For your world” section in asset library will show you assets that are similar to those in your current world. Browse it to discover more of the types of assets you already use and love and add some extra variety to your world!

New Customizable Profile Picture

Snap a great selfie with friends? Show it off!

Soon, you’ll soon be able to add custom profile pictures to your Worlds profile. Even better, your updated Worlds profile picture will sync with your Meta Horizon profile. We’re excited to roll this out to everyone soon.

How to Set your Worlds Profile Picture:

From My Profile: Hover over your profile picture and click the edit icon. Select an image from your photo album (or snap a selfie).

From My Photos: Click into the image and open the kebab menu. Select “Use as profile picture,” and you’re all set.

More Control Over Your Experience: World Chat Filter and Parental Supervision Tool

We recently introduced world chat to make it easier to message other people in your Worlds session to trade tips, plan where to go next, or say “Hey!” and introduce yourself to new friends. You can now also control what kinds of words or phrases you see in chats with world chat filter, which hides words that might be upsetting or offensive and is automatically turned on for all players. Parents can also see, change, and lock their teen’s world chat filter setting in parental supervision. To set up parental supervision, visit the Family Center for Meta Horizon Worlds.

To change your world chat filter setting, go to Settings > Safety.
