Meta Horizon Worlds v157 Release Notes
Meta Horizon Worlds V157 is here! We’re starting to test a new feature called Instant Replay. Imagine that swift escape, spooky jumpscare, or big win is captured in a video for you to share with your friends! We are also rolling out a new early access feature to world creators that can help boost their world's technical performance, and we’ve fixed a few bugs.

Capture the moment with Instant Replay
We’re beginning to test a new feature in some worlds called Instant Replay. When enabled by a world creator, select moments in the world may now be captured automatically and sent to your media gallery for review. Get video of that action-packed, shocking, or spooky experience to share with friends, without disrupting the moment by pausing to open the camera and manually pressing record.
You can see when a world has enabled the Instant Replay feature via the new camera icon on their world page and you’ll also receive an inbox notification upon entering the world.
You can choose to opt-out of using this feature for all worlds by going to Settings > General > Select “Off” for Instant Replay. Note that opting out will simply disable this feature for you in worlds, but it is still possible that you could be captured in another player’s Instant Replay. Quality of Life Improvements
Creators
- World builders now have access to an optional feature called Frame Budget Boost (currently in Early Access) that can help improve a player’s perception of the world’s performance. While in Early Access, Frame Budget Boost will be enabled by default for all worlds and a percentage of people visiting the world will experience the improved performance. World builders should review the requirements and impact of this feature on their worlds to decide whether to leave Frame Budget Boost enabled or turn it off for select worlds.
To change the default setting:- While in a world, open the Create menu.
- Select the World Settings tab.
- Select Play Settings in the left menu.
- Scroll to Frame Budget Boost (Early Access) and select the applicable option from the dropdown.
