Winter Comes to ‘POPULATION: ONE’ in Frostbite Frenzy Event Starting Today

Bundle up for battle with the start of POPULATION: ONE’s latest winter event, Frostbite Frenzy! POPULATION: ONE is a free-to-play battle-royale VR shooter on the Meta Quest Platform that allows players to drop in and battle for supremacy across a variety of maps and modes. This new themed event runs now until January 9, 2025 at 11:00 am PT and features an assortment of new game modes, rewards, and more and is of course entirely free to join for all players.

With the start of Frostbite Frenzy, the latest Statmaster event where you can earn points based on kills, damage, and shooting balloons to unlock themed rewards such as character and weapon skins. There are some excellent themed rewards to unlock, including the glorious new character skins pictured above, or even a new weapon to fight back against the cold and enemies. They’re honestly the most stylish way to ring in the new year, and they look especially great on the 24-player evolving winter map.

That’s not all though. As per usual with seasonal events in POPULATION ONE, there will also be a host of game modes to ring in the festivities as well. Kicking off the winter-themed celebrations today is a new game mode dubbed PJ Santa’s: Kill Confirmed that lasts until December 26, 2024. This mode will follow the Kill Confirmed ruleset, but players will drop snowflakes after each kill you’ll need to collect to register points.

Following that will be Santas vs Elves from December 26, 2024 until January 2, 2025, followed by the final mode of the event, Ms. Kringle’s Strongholds from January 2, 2025 until January 9, 2025. We’ll have more details to share on those game modes when they’re closer to starting.

Topping things off for Frostbite Frenzy is a new Winter-themed playlist for Sandbox in POPULATION ONE featuring fun and wintery locales to battle your buddies. There’s really no limit to what you might find (or create) in these maps. You can enjoy the new Winter-themed playlist there until Frostbite Frenzy ends on January 9th.
