The most important Creative-App for VR It's hard to write a review about something that is the most important, but- before I try, suffice to say, if you are an artist, and have a headset, or are reading this, on the fence for either; this is far and away the must have application for making everything from motion graphics, short animations, long animations, interactive animations, comics, animatics and storyboards, .abc file export import sharing with AnimVR, blender, and direct upload, to Theater Elsewhere; which is the smartest, most under-advertised but most cool couple of things in VR, even when you include video games. If you're an animator, Get this. If you're Meta, throw all of that smart money, at supporting this, and the creative platform you have, as well as standout-creators, and companies/teams that produce a range of cartoons, films, art pieces and interactive live comics etc.
For what I would pay for Animate, After Effects, the time it would take to convert that into 3d, rig, then graph animate it; Quill allows a 2D artist to work in orthographics live on the stage, and as if 2d animation and stop motion combined with telepathy; those animation skills come to life, but instead of locked to two dimensions; it's got all these potential options for games, avatars for yt, or VRChat, and more. Making 3D content with a 2D animation understanding generally is a technical disconnect between how each 'feels' to make, where this program brings those two art forms in line, and allows for a lot of really incredible things so far, and yet to be made. As long as VR headsets exist, it is important for Quill and AnimVR to be around, because some of the art made with it really only can be made this way, and shine best in a headset.
Quill makes it abundantly clear every time I work with it, or see someone's results, that VR for art and, specifically animation, absolutely was a hope I had for years and this is such a good answer to that need it has shifted my entire work process for the better! QUILL 4 EVER
