Safety and privacy tools available for children in Meta Horizon Worlds

Updated:44 weeks ago

If you are aged 10-12 (age may vary by region), we have a few safety and privacy tools that we built to help you feel in control of who you see and talk to in Meta Horizon Worlds.

Block someone

When you block someone, they won't be able to search for, message or send invitations to you. They will appear as a featureless grey avatar in Meta Horizon Worlds and you won't be able to hear each other.

Report someone

If you see someone breaking the Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences (CCVE) in Meta Horizon Worlds, you can report them. This helps us keep the space fun and safe for everyone.

Report a world

You can report worlds straight from the world that you're in or from your Home. This way, any inappropriate content gets looked at and sorted quickly.

Pause your experience

The pause feature lets you take a break from others and your surroundings. From here, you can mute, block and report content or people, giving you control over your experience.
