How to use emotes in Worlds

Emotes give you another way to express yourself in Worlds. We developed emotes so that whatever device you're using, you have a way to communicate in Worlds and participate in social situations without needing to use voice.

To use emotes on Meta Quest:

  1. From Worlds, press Menu button on your left Touch controller.
  2. Select Emotes.
  3. Tap the emote that you want to assign for your right and left controller.
  4. Press the trigger and grip button at the same time to use your emote.
  5. Everyone will see your emotes when you see them.

Note: You can also use gestures to emote, such as raising both of your hands to celebrate with confetti or making a first and raising your thumb to give a thumbs up. Select to view your items and choose Emotes to customise your left thumbs up and right thumbs up emotes.
