How cookies are used for advertising on Meta Quest devices

The Meta Cookies Policy describes how Meta Quest uses cookies in advertising. Cookies help show you relevant content and ads and measure the performance of ad campaigns, including on third-party websites.

Cookies help deliver ads about Meta Quest and recommend products and services based on your activity on Meta Quest. For example, the "_fbp" cookie identifies browsers for the purposes of providing advertising and site analytics services and has a lifespan of 90 days.

Control your information on Meta Quest devices

As outlined in the Meta Cookies Policy, you can control how your data is used to show you ads by using the tools described below:

  • Although most browsers and devices accept cookies by default, their settings usually allow you to clear, configure or decline cookies. Follow the instructions provided by your website or mobile browser (usually located within the Help, Tools or Edit menus) to modify your cookie settings.
    • If you set your browser to disable cookies or other technologies, you may not be able to access certain parts of your Meta Quest device, and some features may not function properly.
  • Check your mobile device settings that control ads based on your interactions with apps on your device. For example, on your iOS device you can turn on the Limit ad tracking setting, and on your Android device you can turn on the Opt out of ads personalisation setting.
  • To turn off usage statistics and crash reports from your Browser, click Settings in Browser and toggle the switch next to Analytics to Off.
  • To prevent Google Analytics from using your data, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on. To opt out of ads on Facebook, Pinterest or Google that match your interests, you can adjust your Facebook, Pinterest or Google ads settings. For information on Flash cookies, visit the Adobe Flash Player website. Your browser's privacy controls may enable you to manage other types of local storage.

You can manage cookie settings to control what information Meta can use to influence your experiences.

  2. Click Your information and permissions.
  3. Click Manage cookies.
