Great Game, Some Patch Issues

Updated Review: Game was previously unplayable due to patch issues. Was able to get it resolved finally after 2 months of in-game startup errors. You MUST keep headset on for the 5-10 minutes while it is stuck on the black screen loading loop. If you take off the headset it pauses & the broken loading screen will not resolve. No pop-up opened for me either notifying about the fix, so would recommend devs update their troubleshooting instructions.

Great game but infuriating controls

I've been thoroughly engaged with Triangle Strategy VR, and the transition to VR significantly enhances the experience compared to the Switch version. The immersive environment and enhanced visuals truly bring the game to life. However, the experience is marred by significant issues with the Meta 3 controllers. Firstly, the controllers frequently lose tracking, causing the laser pointer to disappear, which disrupts gameplay. Additionally, the maps often load inside the headset, resulting in a black screen until I manually adjust them by reaching up and pulling them down into view. This is an unnecessary hassle that breaks immersion. In-game navigation is also problematic. Even the slightest movement can cause your character to unintentionally turn in the wrong direction, which is frustrating during critical gameplay moments. Furthermore, the game unpredictably switches between pointer and non-pointer modes, adding to the confusion. While the VR adaptation has potential, these control issues are too significant to overlook and have led me to lower my overall score for the game. The developers need to address these problems to fully realize the game's potential in VR.

Exactly what I'd hoped it would be like!

This is *exactly* what you'd hope for out of a Strategy RPG game done up in VR. It looks amazing, and plays great. The visuals (especially on a Quest 3 with "Quest Games Optimizer" running to notch up the graphics settings) are wonderful, and sitting through cutscenes with plenty of dialog is a comfortable/pleasant experience, not something you feel like you've got to "endure" to get back to the gameplay. The 'pass-thru' mode is the coolest freaking thing ever. If you're into SRPGs, and you've got a VR headset, you pretty much owe it to yourself to give this a spin, IMO.
