On the Fence
This game feels like a step ahead from Gym Class into the right direction. I’m going to make a some points on this game.
Shooting-6/10
One thing I hate about shooting in this game is that I feel like I have to just throw it at the basket instead of just shooting a basketball normally with good form. I have a Kevin Durant type shot form that uses pretty high arch and each shot on this is just an airball. I have to use abnormal force for the shot to just make the basket. I think a power booster option should be added that you could boost power to your shot til it feels normal instead of just chunking the ball. Also I think a button to spawn a basketball in your hand would be nice instead of just running to ball racks every single time.
Locomotion, Dribbling, Etc.-3/10
This game is really messed up in this category. Dribbling is not in this game, but I’m perfectly fine with it because it doesn’t need it. I’m just going to throw out dribbling due to it not being important. The locomotion is teleportation which is fine, smooth would be much better, but it is at least doable. The problem I have with it is that if you teleport with a ball in your hand then the ball falls out of it. You are also unable to pick up a basketball off the ground which should be added. This means I can only shoot at certain places instead of utilizing the whole court. The button to move should also be changed. Why isn’t it the left or right stick like Vader Immortal? It is a button right now, and it is sorta clunky.
Multiplayer-Haven’t played it yet
Solo-7/10
I have only played around the world, but it was fun. I enjoyed the mode, but it can’t just be the only mode in the game if it is. I’m pretty sure it isn’t so don’t worry. An issue is that the commentator’s voice is too quiet, while the crowd (literal jumping chairs) are super loud.
Hopes
I hope friends can join each other’s practice courts and shoot like gym class.
Needed Additions/Tweaks
Power Meter Adjuster
Be able to pick basketballs off the ground
Move with a ball in your hand
Basketball spawner button
Option between Stick Teleportation and Button Teleportation
Crowd Noise and Commentator Sound Options
Holding down the stick to jump then let go to dunk would be amazing
Around the world directions, cutscenes, etc. are skippable
Wishful Additions
Free Locomotion
An Assisted Dribbling Option?
Three Point Contest
An assisted dribbling option is basically gym class’ free dribbling but the game helps and assists you by not making it difficult.
These are just my suggestions so far into the game.
In the end, I’m on the fence about keeping the game in its current state as a big basketball fan. I probably will keep and play it, but if it does get updates then I will almost certainly keep it. I may come back and update this review.

April 6-21 UPDATE: Hi HarrisonMc! We wanted to let you know that we pushed an update out today (April 6th) and added many of your suggestions. :)
Here are the items we added to today's (April 6, 2021) update:
1.) We added in that Shot Power slider that you and others requested. It has been added to Control Options in the Menu. We would love for you to experiment with it. The slider will multiply the existing power value;
2.) Added an Audience (volume) Slider to Sound Options;
3.) Practice Facility has new bouncing text (“Start Here”) on the “play” chalkboard above it to draw attention to the Skills Challenge/Match setup (which is the real game and not the Practice Facility);
4.) Added the ability to teleport by pressing forward on the Joystick;
5.) Added a secondary chalkboard to the Practice Facility with “Pro Tips & Trick Shots” for added clarity about the game.
Again, we really appreciate your detailed feedback. It is very helpful to us. :)
And in case you didn't see my previous response to you, I wanted to keep in the below info:
We do actually have dribble functionality in the game. But you need to keep the trigger held down as you move your hand up and down to dribble. We indicated this on the new chalkboard we added the the game.
With regards to being able to teleport with the ball in your hand (and keep it in your hand), we made a design decision not to do that. We originally had this enabled in the PC VR versions of the game (we have been on Steam, Oculus Rift, Viveport prior to App Lab, just fyi) and we found multiple people using this “feature” to cheat in the various Stadium game modes/skills challenges (which is the actual meat & potatoes of the game and *not* the Practice Facility). So, essentially, we don’t allow “traveling” in the game, and again this type of “feature” would interfere with the real gameplay of Hoops Madness which are the skills challenges in the Stadium.
Speaking of which, we wanted to make sure you were aware that there are 6 game modes/skills challenges in the game (in no particular order: Shootout, Around the World, Hoop Derby, Whack-a-Hoop, Tug of War, & Dominion) and they are structured into competitive multiplayer matches. We hope you try them all out! 😊 Matches can also be customized or played as the random ones provided. This is all controlled from the chalkboard in the Practice Facility. And you can receive points for consistency, trick shots, and game mode bonuses. The Practice Facility is only there to practice your shots, socialize, check out the global leaderboards, and essentially prep before you go into a match (whether that’s with other players or solo). This is also why we have built out certain zones with ball racks in the game (vs. just being able to spawn a ball in your hand from any location) as for the game modes, there are places you need to stand and play for the specific skills challenges. And because those modes are competitive skills challenges, that needed to be more “structured” and have rules and regulations vs. being a “free for all”. So, the stadium scene is meant to be skill-based and competitive. 😊 And again, as the Practice Facility really isn’t the game and is really meant to be just an area you are in before you go into a match or a staging area, we really wanted to make sure you spawned your balls at the appropriate stations/zones.
Anyway, we hope you will continue to explore the game and play the various game modes, set up custom matches, host and Find matches, or even play solo. All the best!

A great workout
Haven't played multiplayer yet, but in just single player it's a great workout. Lots of fun game modes. Only criticism is the crowd noise is too loud and cannot be reduced on its own without the rest of the sound FX being reduced.

April 6-21 UPDATE: Hi imp007! I wanted to let you know that we have pushed an update today. We added an Audience (volume) Slider to Sound Options in the Menu so you can now specifically adjust that audio layer without having to reduce the SFX. Hope that helps!
We also added in some additional stuff based on the comments from other folks. Here are those other things:
*Shot Power slider has been added Control Options which multiplies the existing power value;
*Practice Facility has new bouncing text (“Start Here”) on the “play” chalkboard above it to draw attention to the Match setup;
*Added the ability to teleport by pressing forward on the Joystick;
*Added a secondary chalkboard to the Practice Facility with “Pro Tips & Trick Shots” for added clarity about the game
Let us know what you think! We hope you continue to enjoy the game! :)

After the update
As far as I can tell the game def feels better in the physics department. If they keep improving the game I could see it being one of those "must have games" I mean don't get me wrong, it's pretty good, it's just not perfect.

The games/shooting
There is no dunking games and the shooting is trash
