This module provides training on the inspection of furnace and hot water heaters connected to masonry chimney systems. It equips you with the skills to identify common damage states such as rust, improper connections, clearance issues, and fire hazards, while ensuring compliance with safety codes. Through interactive learning sessions and virtual reality (VR) simulations, you will learn to assess appliances, chimney pipes, accurately document findings, and effectively communicate results to clients. Ideal for chimney inspectors, home inspectors, and fireplace professionals, this module emphasizes safety protocols, hands-on practice, and documentation to enhance your expertise in stove and chimney inspections. **Responsibility & Worksite Hazard Assessment** – Operate in a simulated environment, identifying hazards commonly encountered during inspections of chimneys. **Familiarization** – Gain an understanding of different factory-built chimney systems and their components. **Chimney System Inspection** – Use the official NCSG checklist to conduct a detailed inspection of prefabricated chimney systems. **Real-World Simulation** – Complete the inspection by accurately diagnosing potential issues with a focus on safety and forensic skills.
