Liked it so much that I bought it twice!I own the PC VR version of Green Hell VR and have enjoyed many hours playing it on my Quest 2 via the link cable. Now I don't have to drag my laptop around with my Quest in order to play it at my friends as I have just purchased the stand-alone version.
Green Hell VR on PC looks truly beautiful with Occlusion and God Rays set at maximum settings. It plays differently on the Quest 2 version but, it's just as good as a stand-alone. It may not look quite as detailed as on the PC but they've done an excellent job in making it run smoothly and it still looks fantastic!
I like that the mechanics aren't the same as it adds an element of new gameplay and discovery which obviously wouldn't be there had it just been ported directly from PC to Quest so, it kinda feels like it's an entirely new experience .... although it isn't, the story is just the same. It's it's crafting, scenery changes, slightly different map, flora and mechanics that change.
On PC, this game requires a beast! of a setup in order to get it running at higher frame rates and looking beautiful and, whilst it doesn't look quite! as good on the stand alone version, I have absolutely no complaints on how they've ported it. Still looks, feels and plays great!
Awesome job guys!
Now I'm off to play many more hours without being tethered to my computer ... woo hoo!
