Good if you dont have steam
This is like H3VR but less guns and sadly no hot dogs but if you dont have steam this is a great option.

The Gun Range Simulator I was looking 4
I've been looking for a good range simulator - and the closest things I've found were considerably more gamified, monetized, or otherwise set up as a series of levels to gain access to new weapons and ranges. And I really just wanted a place to go shoot. The environments are *extremely* realistic. I *do* wish that in one of the indoor ranges where there's a wall of guns that I could just grab one off the wall. And while it's at least partially a function of how limited current VR interaction is, the inconsistent ways that you have to interact with some of the weapons is a bit of a bother. Examples: many IRL weapons have their select fire and safety near your right thumb. With the touch controllers on each hand, it's actually hard to move your hands into that position - so I know it's a challenge for developers to simulate. Getting access to the switch can be problematic in the experience - for some weapons, you have to put your left hand on the *opposite* side of the gun to highlight the control. For instance, reaching under to the right-hand-side of the gun to highlight the switch on the left. It feels like it would be nice to have an option to do this the way mag eject is handled, by a joystick action. Left/right to step through fire select perhaps. That said, in the interest of maintaining the realism I'd still want the ability to directly access the select fire controls as organically as possible. I'd also want to add the ability to access mag eject the same way. One of the nice things about XR is the opportunity to provide drop-in experiences that take a lot of preparation otherwise. It doesn't always have to be a "game" first. This is a great example of that - and sure, it's not for everybody. Some people will find it to be "boring" because there aren't enough aliens or zombies or terrorists. I find it to be a nice mix between *extremely* realistic environments highly detailed firearms with a mechanic that just lets me drop in and do some target practice.

Eddieo Thank you for taking the time to play and review our game. Some information you may find useful. Fire select button for each gun is mapped to the oculus rift controllers. Thumb stick left on the right controller and thumb stick right on the left controller should change the fire select mode on guns. A diagram of this should be available in the tutorial area in the game. The ability to pick up guns from the display wall is coming in a future update as we are revamping the inventory system that will allow this. Its part of a future update we are working on adding a bunch of WW2 era guns and new outdoor ranges. We incorporate player feedback as much as possible in future updates. Very fun game! I have some suggestions.
I have shot guns in real life and I have to say this game is as realistic as it gets. I think adding more diverse targets would be a nice touch. Things like cinderblocks, pieces of metal, wood, perhaps even balistics gell or a foam target shaped like a human torso with semi realistic wounds if that is possible. I think adding some older guns to the game would be a nice touch. Things like flintlock smoothbore muskets, flintlock pistols, Martini henry rifles, rifled muskets, western style revolvers, the winchester rifle and other older repeating rifles from the wild west, the m1 garand, and the MG42. The blackpowder weapons I suggested are probably very hard to implement but I think they would be a cool addition to the game even if you speed up the reloading process so it is not frusterating as long as the reloading process is authentic I am cool with that. Some of my suggestions may be a little too ambitious (perhaps more than a little.) but I hope you at least consider some of them.

LordR First, thank you for submitting a review. Feedback is greatly appreciated as we build out future patch updates. Several of us on the dev team are real life shooters and we have a long list of firearms we want to bring to this game. Dev work is planned well into 2019 and will bring almost double the available guns now featured, vintage world war 1 and 2, heavy machine guns, and explosive ordnance just to name a few. Recoil is another issue we are not happy with and will be working on a new recoil engine for the game as well as tons of new targets and reactive ranges in the future. Your feedback will be passed on to the rest of the dev team. Thank you again.

Amazing and Fun!
Great and fun game! There arent really that many shooting games and this one is by far my favourite. Lots of weapons, maps, and fun things to do if you love to go to shooting ranges in real life. Highly recommend! Keep up the good work devs! :D
