How to stream Spotify on AI glasses
Spotify on AI glasses is currently available in select regions and voice controls for Spotify are currently available in English.
Spotify on Meta AI Glasses brings hands-free, personalized listening to your everyday moments.
You can connect Spotify directly through the Meta AI app and use your voice or touchpad controls to play, identify, or create personalized soundtracks.
Connect Spotify to your glasses
- From the Meta AI mobile app, tap
Glasses in the top right.
- Tap
Device settings.
- If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI mobile app, swipe left or right to select the device you want to adjust settings for before tapping
- If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI mobile app, swipe left or right to select the device you want to adjust settings for before tapping
- Tap App connections.
- Tap Spotify.
- If you have multiple devices paired, select the device you want to modify settings for.
- Tap Connect Spotify.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Assign Spotify as default audio app
You can also assign Spotify as your default when you search for audio with your voice from App connections by tapping Assign defaults.
How to play music and get personalized recommendations
Use these voice commands to ask for songs, playlists, artists, and more curated dynamically to your mood, tastes, and context:
- “Hey Meta, play… (name any song, album, artist, playlist, station, genre or mood).”
Play Music Based on What You See
With Meta AI, your glasses can now play music recommendations from Spotify based on what you see — from album covers to everyday scenes, tailored for you. Try these voice commands:
- “Hey Meta, play a song to go with my view”
- “Hey Meta, play a song to fit this mood"
- “Hey Meta, play an artist to fit this environment"
- “Hey Meta, play an album to fit this room"
- “Hey Meta, play a classical piece that matches the vibe of this scene”
Note: The ability to return music recommendations or create a playlist based on what you see is available in English.
How to control audio with your voice using Meta AI
Note: Voice controls for Spotify are currently available in English.
Use these voice commands to control audio and search Spotify:
- “Hey Meta, play Spotify.”
- “Hey Meta, pause.”
- “Hey Meta, skip.”
- “Hey Meta, volume up”, “Hey Meta, volume down.”
How to control audio with touchpad controls
You can use the following gestures on the touchpad to control audio. The touchpad is located along the side of the right glasses arm.
- Tap once to pause or play audio.
- Swipe forward to turn the volume up.
- Swipe back to turn the volume down.
- Tap and hold to play a recommendation from Spotify.
Note: Tap and hold must be assigned to Spotify by going to Gestures in Device settings and tapping Touchpad.
Note: When you close your glasses, audio streaming will be paused. When you reopen the glasses, they will reconnect to your audio source via Bluetooth.
