This feature is only available on Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) glasses.

You can start a live-stream to connect with your followers in real time through your AI glasses. The feature is available on Facebook and Instagram.

Start a live-stream

To start a stream:

  1. Ensure that your glasses are powered on and connected to the Meta AI mobile app.
  2. On your phone, open Facebook or Instagram.
  3. Ensure that you're on the latest version of the Facebook or Instagram app.
  4. Tap Add.
  5. Tap Live.
  6. Tap Devices to connect to your glasses.
  7. On your glasses, double-press the capture button to switch to your glasses camera.
  8. Tap Go live to start your live-stream.

Note: You can switch between cameras at any time, before or during a live video, by double-pressing the capture button on your glasses.

Improve live-stream quality

Live-streams from your glasses will be lower resolution than recorded videos from your glasses or phone. You can improve resolution and video quality by following these best practices:

  • Keep your phone close to you and in front of you, or in a front pocket.
  • If you have a good 5G Wi-Fi signal, connect your phone to Wi-Fi, otherwise disable Wi-Fi on your phone and seek out a strong mobile phone signal.
  • Do not stream music from your phone or interact with other Bluetooth devices (e.g. smart watch) during a live-stream.
  • Turn off or disconnect other Bluetooth devices from your phone.

Note: Co-hosting a live video while streaming from glasses is possible; however, some functions may be limited and doing so may affect the quality of your live-stream. When you've finished co-hosting, restart your live video for best quality.
