How media storage works with Ray-Ban Meta glasses and the Meta AI mobile app

Updated: Before importing media
When you capture photos and videos with your Ray-Ban Meta glasses, your media is stored on your glasses until you import them into the Meta AI mobile app. During import, while your media is transferred from your glasses to your phone, media is temporarily stored as a part of the Meta AI mobile app in a cache. The cache will automatically clear itself shortly after importing, and you can manually clear the cache in Device settings.
To clear your Meta AI mobile app cache:
- From the Meta AI mobile app, tap
in the bottom right.
- Tap

- If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI mobile app, swipe left or right to select the device you want to adjust settings for before tapping
- If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI mobile app, swipe left or right to select the device you want to adjust settings for before tapping
- Tap Media.
- Tap Clear cache.
- Tap Clear cache again to confirm.
After importing media
Media is removed from your glasses and saved to your phone’s photos app after importing. Media in the Meta AI mobile app Gallery is displayed by accessing your phone’s photo app with your permission.
Edits made to media in the Meta AI mobile app are also made to the media stored on your phone’s photo app. Deleting media from the Meta AI mobile app deletes the media from your phone’s photo app. If you delete media from your phone’s photo app, or revoke permission for Meta AI to access your phone’s photo app, media will not appear in the Gallery.
